Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Well this is a little late but here it is! So Christmas this year was great! We had 3 Christmas' this year which meant life was busy! Our first was together just our little family on Christmas eve. Around 5pm we headed over to Matt's parents for Christmas Eve celebrations. We had some delicious food along with some fun family time. We then headed over to watch the Nativity at Heritage Park. Porter fell asleep in the car on the way over and slept right up until we got in to the Nativity. Since we forgot to bring a snowsuit (we thought he would just stay in the carseat) Matt decided to put Porter in his coat with him to keep him warm. It was super cute!

Next we headed home to start our celebrations just our little family. We thought it would be easier to have our Christmas before things got crazy in the morning. So we opened all our presents on Christmas eve. It was awesome. I got Matt some golf clubs as his big present, and they were a hit! I was soo happy since I had no idea what kind he wanted. I was spoiled and I definitely spoiled Matt. It was a great Christmas.

At the Nativity.

Getting ready to open everything, Santa came early for us!

Little man just chillin.

Love these 2

Happy Little man!

So next was Christmas Morning. We have a tradition that recently started with the Whiteley family, where we wear onesies during our Christmas' together. We went over bright and early to the Matt's parents house (bright and early meaning around 10 o' clock). We had breakfast which is the best, it's french toast with blueberries and candied pecans. It is delicious! We got some pretty good shots of everyone in our onesies! Porter was a spoiled little man, getting presents from everyone and a stocking! It was just a great day. We even got him to nap at the Whiteley house, which rarely happens! We were lucky.

Such a good shot!

Cozy and ready for the story of the Saviour's birth.

Checking out the new toys.

The best.

Oh you know, just munching on my hand.

Auntie Emma and Porter.

I had 2nd's and 3rd's of this!

Testing the light.

Yes I have crazy eyes.. but it's the best one.

Merry Christmas!

Finally Boxing day was our last Christmas event. We headed over to the Cooper house for some Christmas presents and a delicious dinner. As you can see from the pictures by the end we were a little tuckered out! Porter was once again spoiled (as was I) and we had some fun playing with my sister's kids and all their toys. Dinner was delicious and I made a trifle for dessert, and it was gobbled up. I have been unofficially designated as the trifle maker for our family at Christmas, which is ok by me because I don't really mind making it..

Nap time.

These 2 crazies!

So for New Year's we actually did something! It's been quite a while since that happened! My cousin Ashlyn had a party at her house (an early New Year's for those of us with babies). I have to say I had fun. I got to meet a few new people, and chat with a couple that I already knew. Porter was great through the whole evening and I ate way more than I should have! I'm so glad that we were invited and able to go! Just one shot of that evening!

It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year

I love Christmas! The lights, the music the smells. Everything about this time of year makes me oh so happy. Our Christmas decorations (minus the tree) were all up in November! Having a baby makes this time of year even more fun. I've bought a few too many Christmas sleepers and that's what I put him in all the time. Matt loves Christmas too, but I don't think it's possible to love it as much as I do.

This year we have the Whiteley Christmas. I'm so excited to take our family onesie picture with Porter. He will fit his Christmas onesie perfectly by the time he needs to wear it. We also get to have Cooper Christmas on Boxing day. Having family close really is a blessing!

This year I really feel in the Christmas spirit. I've been able to go to a few mom and baby Christmas parties, I've made numerous cookies and treats and all my Christmas shopping is done! Last year was difficult for me at Christmas time, I was exhausted and had terrible morning sickness so I didn't really enjoy the food or smells.

We caved and bought an artificial tree. I figure next year we won't want pine needles all over the floor where Porter is walking/crawling and I don't want him to eat them off the tree so Matt went out and bought a 7ft/9ft Christmas tree and it has a million lights. I can't believe how easy it was to put up. Decorating took half the time! I love that it's pre-lit and I don't have to go through strands of tangled up Christmas lights before getting to the fun part of hanging ornaments!

Now here are some of our latest adventures.

Just hanging out with 17 other babies!

Kissing my little man under the mistletoe.

It's a diaper changing party!

Matching onesies :)

Porter wasn't used to all the noise.. he may have been a little unhappy.

The reindeer and elf :)

A little smaller party.. Porter is checked out!

Babies!

Last year we had a New Year's Brunch and sat in this exact same place but none of us had babies yet! Crazy how quick life goes.

Merry Christmas!

We had 2 criers and 2 content babies.

Porter and Auntie Em

My smiley guy :)

Love him!

He fell asleep like this...

Best Friends and Cousins :) Tucker and Porter!

I love Tucker's face in this one!
